Here at Phoenix, our goal is to bring low-cost or no-cost, high quality tutoring for struggling students in foster care. Children in foster care often have large gaps in their learning due to poor attendance, inadequate family support, or family insecurities; therefore, it puts children in care at greater risk for behavior concerns, lack of motivation, and dropping out. We aim to mend the academic gap so students can feel successful and rise to their full potential.
Currently, we are accepting students VPK-6th grade in all subject areas.
The name Phoenix Tutoring Services comes from the Greek immortal bird that regenerates life by rising from the ashes of its former self. In this way, we hope to aid students rise to become a thriving member of their school, family, and community.
